The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that candidates who sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) can begin printing their Original Result Slips from Wednesday, June 17, 2026.
According to a statement issued by JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, , the result slip would become available for printing within two hours of the announcement.
The board explained that the Original Result Slip is an important admission document as it contains the candidate’s photograph, national ranking, and other security features required by tertiary institutions during post-UTME screening and admission processes.
JAMB noted that candidates can conveniently access and print the document from any internet-enabled device, including personal computers, smartphones, offices, or accredited business centres.
The examination body advised candidates to carefully verify all information contained on the slip immediately after printing to ensure accuracy. It also urged them to keep copies of the document for future admission-related activities.
The release of the Original Result Slip marks another crucial stage in the 2026 admission exercise, as universities, polytechnics, colleges of education, and other tertiary institutions across Nigeria are expected to commence post-UTME screening and admission processes in the coming weeks.
Candidates seeking admission into higher institutions are therefore encouraged to obtain their Original Result Slips promptly and safeguard them as part of the mandatory documentation for admission consideration.
