JAMB Suspends Two Centres For 14 Days Due to Registration Violations

2025 UTME-Mock

By DAYO ADESULU

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the suspension of the Federal College of Education (Technical) Potiskum CBT Centre 2 in Yobe State and the CBT Centre in Otukpo, Benue State, for a period of 14 days, effective today, February 4, 2025.

According to JAMB’s Public Communications Officer, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the action followed a serious breach of protocol that compromised the security measures in place to maintain the integrity of the registration process. In particular, he said some centres have failed to adhere to the requirement that candidates manually fill in their details before uploading them to the registration portal. Benjamin pointed out that the submission of blank registration templates undermined the accuracy and reliability of the information provided to JAMB.

Despite having been informed of the consequences of such actions, these centres have submitted blank templates in an attempt to inflate candidate registration numbers. This suspension serves as a clear warning to all CBT centres: any future violations involving the submission of blank registration templates will result in immediate cancellation and exclusion from JAMB activities.

The registration period for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) commenced on February 3, 2025, and will conclude on March 8, 2025. JAMB urges all centres to ensure that all registration templates are completed accurately and thoroughly prior to submissions.
