Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has approved the market extension of operation for both food markets and non-food markets.
Sanwo-Olu who in a statement through the Commissioner for Local Government and Community Affairs, Dr Wale Ahmed, said buy and selling are now to open at 8 am and close at 6 pm.
He explained that the decision to extend the time would further enhance trade and commerce and mitigate the hardship of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sanwo-Olu, however, said that the alternate days of operations will remain in force. He maintained that food markets should open on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Non-food markets should open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
