Nigeria Records 226 New COVID-19 Cases Tuesday

The Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) has said that Nigeria on Tuesday recorded 226 new cases of COVID-19 in many states.

In its official Twitter handle Tuesday night, NCD broke down the statistics. It said that 131 cases were recorded in Lagos State, 25 cases in Ogun State, 15 cases in Plateau State, eleven cases in Edo State, seven cases in Kaduna State and six cases in Oyo State.

It added that five cases each were recorded in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and Adamawa State, four cases in Jigawa, Ebonyi and Borno State, three cases in Nasarawa State, two cases in Bauchi and Gombe State and one case each in Enugu and Bayelsa State.

On the whole, 6401 persons have tested positive for COVID-19 in Nigeria with  1734 patients discharged and 192 deaths recorded.
