NLC Just Woke Up, Declares August 2 National Strike

The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has set the Federal Government a seven-day deadline to modify all perceived anti-poor measures or face a statewide strike beginning August 2.

These initiatives include the recent increase in the price of petrol at the pump.

This comes as the NLC urged all of its affiliates and state councils to mobilise workers and other Nigerians, including civil society supporters, for a long-term strike and large protests if the government fails to satisfy its demands.

Details coming shortly.
