NLC Seeks Local Govt Inclusion In N30,000 Minimum Wage

Nigeria Labour Congress(NLC) in Edo State has said it would push for Governor Godwin Obaseki to include local government workers in the payment of the N30,000 minimum wage.

Chairman of NLC, Comrade Sunny Osayande, told our reporter last night that the union would not take excuses that some. local government is weak in revenue.

He said several meetings were held with government officials to ensure all things are in place for the payment.

According to him: “They were saying some local governments are weak but we told them to go and look for money.

“Local government workers are to be paid the new wage this January.”
