In an official letter dated April 30, 2025, Engineer Abraham Chundusu, Director of Accreditation at the NUC, confirmed the full accreditation status for these programs following rigorous evaluation processes. This achievement highlights Novena University’s dedication to maintaining high educational standards.
Previous Accreditations
Just last year, Novena University’s programs in Nursing, Public and Community Health, Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology, Doctor of Optometry, Accounting, Business Administration, Political Science, Public Administration, Intelligence, and Security Studies also received successful accreditation from the NUC. The recent full accreditation of Medicine and Pharmacy reinforces the positive evaluations already provided by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) and the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN) in 2024.

Since its establishment as the first private university in Delta State two decades ago, Novena University has consistently achieved successful accreditations for its programs. This tradition of excellence was set in motion when the university was licensed by the Federal Executive Council of Nigeria in 2005.
