OSUSTECH Calls-off Warning Strike

ACADEMICS activities began fully on Monday at the Ondo State University of Science and Technology (OSUSTECH), Okitipupa, Ondo State.

The week-long warning strike by Non-Academic Staff Union and  Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities had grounded universities activities.

NASU and SSANU strike ends August 23

The NASU and SSANU warning strike in public universities started in August 19 to August 23.

A visit to the campus on Monday revealed that the campus was bubbling with activities. The members of SSANU and NASU were on their duty posts.

NASU chair at OSUSTECH, Peter Akindehinde said the Joint Association Congress (JAC) had instructed its members to resume duties.

OSUSTECH joins warning strike after JAC meeting

Akindehinde said: “OSUSTECH decided to join the strike after a JAC meeting. Our unions have told its members to resume work immediately.

“Activities have resumed and members of NASU and SSANU are back at their duty postssince the strike was just for a week.

You will remember that the unions’ one-week nationwide strike was to compel the Federal Government to implement the 2009 agreement.
