Police, OPC, Hunters Rescue Two Victims From Four Abductors In Ogun

The four kidnappers that abducted a commercial driver and a passenger have been overpowered and arrested on Tuesday by the Nigerian Police.

The Osun State Police Command who swung into action on Saturday after the abduction arrested the culprits along Ife/Ibadan by gunmen.

It all started on Saturday when the armed men waylaid a commercial bus with registration number KTP 331 RG, robbed the travellers and abducted the driver and a passenger.

It was gathered that one of the two abductees was rescued by the combined efforts of the Police, Hunters Group and Oodua People’s Congress.

While the Ogun State Commissioner of Police, Mr Olawale Olokode confirmed the arrest of the abductors, a  statement by the spokesperson of Osun State Police, Mrs Yemisi Opalola also confirmed the released of their victims.

Opalola said: “The victims were released in the early hours of today, 9th March 2021 owing to the pressure mounted on the abductors by the Police and other security agencies. No money was paid.”
