Office of the All Progressive Congress, APC at Blatyne Street in Abuja has on Monday been taking over by some policemen.
At the time of filing this report, it was not clear the reason the FCT Police Command deployed its men numbering about 25 to the party secretariat.
It was however gathered that the development might not be unconnected with the unending disagreement over the position of the acting chairman of the party who is the Chairman, Caretaker and Convention Committee of the party, Mai Mala Buni.
Buni’s position as APC acting chairman and also Governor of Yobe State is being contested after the Supreme Court gave a hint during its judgement over the Ondo state governorship petition that it might injure the party if Buni continues in office in his present capacity.
The Supreme Court has however given a contrary opinion saying its judgement does not vitiate the position of Buni.

However, all is not well still within the party as opinions are divided over the continued stay in office by the Caretaker committee after the third extension of its tenure.
A notice placed at the entrance of the secretariat read: “NOTICE: The National Secretary will brief the media on increased security presence at the Party’s National Secretariat. He is on his way to the Secretariat,” the party said in a terse notice.”
On an ordinary day, policemen attached to the place do not exceed three.
In front of the building are about five police vans with some stern-looking operatives.
