President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived in the capital city of Abuja’s Eagle Square for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s inauguration event.
Likewise, Senator Kashim Shettima, the Vice-President-elect, and the President-elect have arrived at the inauguration site, where Chief Justice of Nigeria Kayode Ariwoola is scheduled to administer the oath of office.
Today, Tinubu will take the oath of office as the Federal Republic of Nigeria’s 16th actual president.
Today, Ariwoola will administer the oath of office to Tinubu as president and Shettima as vice president of Nigeria.
Other previous Nigerian leaders, including former President Goodluck Jonathan, his wife, Dame Patience Jonathan, and former Head of State General Yakub Gowon, have also arrived at Eagle Square, where the swearing-in will take place.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, and the President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, are both in attendance.
Businessmen, Abdulsamad Rabiu, Femi Otedola, and Aliko Dangote were also in attendance.
