Professor Nurudeen Adekunle Raji Re-elected as Dean of Engineering, Epe Campus at LASU

Lagos State University (LASU) has announced the re-election of Professor Nurudeen Adekunle Raji as the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Epe Campus. The re-election followed a competitive process between Professor Raji and Professor K.F.K. Oyedeko, with Professor Raji securing 22 votes while Professor Oyedeko garnered 14 votes.

The approval for the re-election of Professor Raji was in line with the decision of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, mni, NPOM. This development signifies a vote of confidence in Professor Raji’s leadership and his contributions to the Faculty of Engineering.

Professor Raji’s first term came to an end on November 24, 2023. However, his tenure was extended by three months to oversee crucial accreditation exercises, including the November/December 2023 NUC Accreditation Exercise and the upcoming February 2024 COREN Accreditation Exercise.

As confirmed by the Faculty Officer, Mr. Samuel T. Whesu, who also served as the returning officer, Professor Raji’s second term, spanning two years, will commence on February 25, 2024.

The re-election of Professor Nurudeen Adekunle Raji reflects the commitment of Lagos State University to uphold excellence and leadership in the field of engineering. This accomplishment is a testament to Professor Raji’s dedication and exemplary service to the academic community at LASU.
