Coalition of South-East Leaders (COSEYL), has on Sunday commended the operatives of Special Anti Robbery Squad (SARS) headed by SP Obioguru Johnbull for getting rid of criminals , hoodlums, Yahoo boys and bad eggs from Abia state.
Umahi Disclosing this in a statement sent to Vanguard, Chief Goodluck Ibem, President General and Comrade Kanice Igwe, Secretary-General opined that, before now, criminals had made it difficult for people to sleep with their eyes closed. Cases of kidnapping, armed robbery and other violent crimes were on the increase but when Johnbull took over the mantle of SARS in Abia state, the story change for good.

The statement in part: “We are indeed happy with the Leadership of SARS for sending such a dynamic police officer to Abia state.
The achievement recorded by SARS under the Leadership of OC Obioguru are so enormous that we are tempted to ask the police authorities to allow him to remain in Abia until he retires from active service.
Reason being that we don’t want criminals who run away from the state because of SARS stance against criminality to return to Abia.
The state is enjoying peace and tranquillity courtesy of Obioguru able leadership.
We are not singing his praise but we are only trying to keep the record straight. SARS operatives have done very well and we thank them for a job well done.
Between 2006 to 2016 there was incessant cases of bank robbery in broad daylight.

These robbers will rob a bank and go Scott free , but for the past two years , the story of bank robbery has never been heard of.
We will not forget in a hurry how Obioguru and his men crack-down a notorious kidnap and robbery syndicate that uses a red sienna bus to rob , kidnap and terrorise people of Osisioma.
This group of criminals were a terror to the people but they met their Waterloo when SARS operatives apprehended them and took them to court.
Since the arrest of the five-man criminal syndicate, the people of Osisioma and its environs have known some peace.

Cult groups like Aye cult and Junior Vikings popularly known as “ARO Boys” that specializes in raping , robbing and harassing residents of Abia, SARS operatives have tamed their notorious activities.
On the 5th of August, 2019 one Daniel Eze age 27 years and prince Chukwu 23 years were arrested at world housing estate in Osisioma Local Government Area of Abia state.
These suspects uses locally made pistols to allegedly rob residents but their notorious activities was brought to an end by SARS operatives.

The name “SARS” put fear down the spine of any criminal and persons that have any skeleton in his or her cupboard. Police arrest dismissed army gen.
for allegedly dealing in firearms Yahoo boys have left Abia because the state is too hot for them to operate.
Young men and women who would have joined the Yahoo boys have redress their steps and joined meaningful way of livelihood. Our youths now live responsible lives. We are indeed very happy.
Drug Abuse in Abia has been drastically reduced if not totally eliminated as SARS operatives have dismantled all drug cartels known to them in Abia state.
This success will go a long way to make the assignment of the Presidential Advisory Committee for the Elimination of Drug Abuse ( PACEDA) headed by Brig.

General Buba Marwa easy for them. In umuahia , SARS operatives killed a dreaded robbery suspect known by the name Grave. This criminal and his robbery gang were terrorizing the residents of Umuahia, Isiala Ngwa North and South Local Government Areas , but their operation was brought to an end by SARS operatives in Aba.
Recently, on the 8th of December, 2019 , the gallant SARS operatives following a tip-off, arrested 3 suspects by name Kenneth, Emmanuel and Michael who have been terrorizing people of Okpulu Umuobo axis of Aba.
On the 3rd day of October, 2019 in a joint operation of SARS and police tactical team foiled a planned robbery operation of fidelity Bank Bata branch Aba by 29 armed robbery gang through a credible intelligence gathering.

The bank was not even aware of the robbery plan against them, but the SARS and police tactical team foiled the robbery operation that would have claimed so many lives had it been the robbery operation went as planned by the hoodlums.
On the 4th day of September 2019, confidence Onuwa was kidnapped in isila Ngwa South who was a relation to special Adviser to Abia State Governor.
SARS operatives arrested the kidnappers and the victim was rescued unhurt and two locally made double barrel gun cut to size with 5 cartridges were recovered from the hoodlums.

Within this year , the commissioner of Police, CP Ene Okon has given 3 letter of commendation to the commander of SARS SP Obiaguru Johnbull for courage, gallantry and professional prowess in arresting dare devil armed robbers and kidnappers who have been on the wanted list of the state.
The operation PUFF ADDER launched by the Inspector General of Police (IG) Adamu Mohammed has been implemented to the later by the Commissioner of Police and SARS operatives in the state.
The positive results are evidently clear for all and sundry to see.
The peaceful atmosphere security-wise the good people of Abia state are enjoying during this Christmas season is as a result of the gallantry and selfless efforts of SARS operatives in Abia state.
We commend them for their tireless efforts towards ensuring that Abians are safe and free to move around and do their legitimate businesses.

Time will not allow us to x-ray the litany of SARS achievements in Abia state. But suffice it to say that, crime has been greatly reduced to the barest minimum.
