Terrorists in their conquest of innocent citizens of Nigeria have killed fifteen people in Goronyo and Illela Local Government Areas of Sokoto State.
Governor Aminu Tambuwal, the number one citizen of Sokoto State, confirmed the reports on Monday while presenting the 2022 Sokoto appropriation bill to the State House of Assembly.
According to him, three persons lost their lives in Goronyo while 12 people were killed in Illela in attacks that occurred between Sunday night and Monday morning.
Goronyo and Illela are two of the council areas where telecommunications networks have been shut down. The government also banned weekly markets to curtail the activities of bandits in the state.
Before his presentation, Tambuwal condoled with those whose loved ones were killed in the attacks.
