Fresh geopolitical tensions have erupted in the Middle East following strong accusations from Iran that the United States, under Donald Trump, exploited a temporary ceasefire to impose a sweeping naval blockade on the strategic Strait of Hormuz.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry, through its spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei, alleged that Washington used the two-week truce as a cover to tighten its grip on one of the world’s most critical oil transit routes. According to Tehran, the move represents a calculated escalation with far-reaching implications for global energy markets.
