UNILAG Mourns Death of Prof. Durojaiye Ajeyalemi

The University of Lagos has announced the death of Professor Durojaiye Ajeyalemi who passed on at the early hour of Wednesday.

Ajeyalemi was former Dean of Education, UNILAG, and Pioneer Registrar/Chief Executive of JUPEB.

Professor Ngozi Osarenren from the Faculty of Education who broke the news to TheCheer News, said Prof. Duro Ajeyalemi died this morning.

“May his soul rest in peace,” She said.

Professor Durojaiye was born on November 7, 1950. He worked briefly at Nigerian Ports Authority between 1968-70; Management Trainee, Lever Brothers, 1977; Graduate Assistant, University of Lagos, 1977-81; Lecturer II, Department of Curriculum Studies, University of Lagos, 1981-83; Lecturer I, Unilag, 1983-84; appointed Senior Lecturer, University of Lagos, 1984; AG Head, Department of Curriculum Stud ies, 1992-94;Sub-Dean, Education, 1991-92; Associate Professor, 1989-92; Professor of Curriculum Studies, 1992; Dean of Students Affairs, University of Lagos, 1995, Dean, Faculty of Education, 2006, member, Royal Society of Chemistry, 1984; member, National Association for Research in Science Teaching, USA, 1990; Pioneer Registrar, JUPEB.

He attended the following schools:
