Xenophobia: Eschew Violence, Remain Calm, Adeboye Urges Nigerians

ADEBOYE

GENERAL Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, on Wednesday, urged Nigerians to eschew violence and remain calm, adding that violence was not the solutions to addressing the xenophobic attack in South Africa.

“Please shun violence; it’s dividends last a lifetime.“Let us all embrace peace and remember that regardless of our race, colour or language, we are all of God,”

Recall that violent reprisal protests against the wanton killing of Nigerians and their businesses in South Africa had started yesterday with the torching of some business outfits linked to the Madiba country in Lagos and Ibadan.

Protesters, in their numbers, continued with the anti-xenophobic protest across the country on Wednesday with security agents having a hectic day in dousing the tension.
