Presidential Tribunal: Ayo Ogunsan Hails Tinubu’s Victory as a Milestone for Nigerian Democracy

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, has received praise from Dr. Ayo Ogunsan, a board member of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), for winning the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal, which wrapped up its session yesterday in Abuja FCT.

Supreme International Magazine is reporting that the groundbreaking decision rendered by the five-member panel was the first of its type to be broadcast live to a global audience and was also hailed as the longest ever, taking a record 12 hours.

Dr. Ayo Ogunsan stated in his laudatory that “yesterday’s judgement is a landmark day in Nigerian history.” The unbroken democracy that has existed in Nigeria since 1999 is being strengthened.

‘What gladdens my heart the more is that the person at the center of it all is a political gladiator who has stood for enthronement of democratic values and constitutional rights since the early 1990s.

“He is a foremost champion of Democracy in Nigeria. When we say may you reap what you sow, this is it. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu paid his dues for Nigeria and God rewarded him.

“The 5-man panel delivered an unanimous judgment quashing all petitions by his opponents’, Ogunsan told Supreme International Magazine.

In his advice to Nigerians, Dr. Ogunsan said: ‘It is a day of rejoicing, thanksgiving, and prayers throughout Nigeria. I want to urge Nigerians to file behind our President and Commander-in-chief for the socioeconomic progress and political development of our country. Nigeria deserves our unity now irrespective of party affiliations, tribal sentiments, and religious creed.’

It is noteworthy that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently in India where he is attending the G-20 Summit and seeking support for Nigeria.
