9 Killed, 6 Abducted As Gunmen Struck Sokoto

No fewer than nine people have been killed while six were abducted by gunmen on Saturday within the Goronyo Local Government Area of Sokoto State.

It was gathered that the gunmen killed eight men and one woman across the three villages that were attacked.

The villages attacked by the suspected bandits are Bejingo, Dantudu, and Tulutu, all in Birjin ward, The Punch reports.

The bandits reportedly carted away herds of cattle belonging to the villagers during the attack on Saturday.

Corpses of the deceased have been buried according to Islamic rites.
