United States, Nigeria In Closed-Door Meeting Over Visa Ban

The United States representatives and the Nigeria government are holding a closed-door meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abuja over the recent visa ban on some categories of Nigerians.

Geoffrey Onyeama, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, heads Nigeria’s delegation to the meeting while the US Ambassador to Nigeria, Mary Beth Leonard leads the US delegation.

It’s believed that meeting by both countries would provide the opportunity to brief the US government on steps Nigeria has taken to avert the trend.

Details coming shortly.
