AfDB Boost Staff’s Quality Health Care With ABUAD Teaching Hospital

African Development Bank, AfDB, has concluded plans to collaborate with the Afe Babalola University (ABUAD) multi-system hospital to boost quality health care delivery for its staff in the continent.

Team leader and AfDB Regional Medical Doctor, Dr Augustine Uhunwangho, during his visit to the school, said the institution’s state-of-the-art hospital is trending across African.

According to him, ABUAD IS also getting patronage from the bank which would improve its service delivery system.

Uhunwangho said: “Our senior Director had visited the hospital and we are here on the assessment of manpower,  equipment and services available in the hospital.

“Our staff are always ready and desirous of being medically fit because that is our policy. Ours is to recommend this facility after this assessment tour to the insurance company in charge of healthcare services.
This will enable ABUAD to be enrolled as one of those facilities that can render health care services to our staff.”

In his reaction, the founder of ABUAD, Chief Afe Babalola, SAN commended  AfBD for its support to the hospital. He reiterated that since the commencement of the university,  commendations has not ceased.

He said: ” We have invested the funds given to us by AfBD on the hospital and we have the value more than four times the money given to us.

” My university, your hospital, my hospital by the grace of God is the best thing to have happened to Ekiti today.

The coming of AfDB is a welcome development. You cannot have such big infrastructures and facilities in that hospital and will lie fallow without proper use.
