Atiku Abubakar, a former vice president of Nigeria and current presidential contender for the Peoples Democratic Party, has visited Europe.
Atiku Abubakar left the nation a few hours later after meeting APC presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.
According to rumors, the PDP candidate traveled abroad to receive medical treatment, but Atiku actually went on a business trip, according to his spokesman Paul Ibe.
The Covid-19 global lockup and the ensuing economic slowdown had an impact on one of the former vice president’s commercial entities. He traveled last night on a scheduled trip to speak with these technical partners.
Ibe stated in a statement that “the conference will also focus on concluding discussions for a planned expansion of its production facilities.”
The spokesperson withheld which specific nation Atiku visited.
The PDP presidential candidate began his campaign last week in Akwa Ibom State, and on Monday, he was in Kaduna.

He lamented the fact that thugs had attacked his supporters at the rally site and urged President Muhammadu Buhari to warn other parties and their followers to uphold the peace agreement.
One of Atiku’s biggest opponents in the election of next year, Tinubu, was in Europe as his campaign got under way.
The PDP has used this as a talking point, claiming that the candidate for the ruling party’s absence from the nation at the start of the campaign indicates that he is unprepared to rule.
