Boko Haram Mastermind Of Atiku’s House Nabbed

Atiku Abubakar’s home in Yola, Adamawa State, has apparently been targeted by Boko Haram suspects who were allegedly planning an assault.
Around 9 p.m. on Sunday, Jubrila Mohammed, a suspect age 29, who admitted to being a member of Boko Haram and is from Damboa in Borno State, was initially apprehended while attempting to carry out the attack at the gate of Atiku’s apartment.
Three other people were taken into custody after his arrest, including one who was thought to be his collaborator.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which will be running in the 2023 elections, described what happened in a statement.
“We desire to inform the Nigerian people that on Sunday, July 23, 2023, at around 9:44 p.m., a guy trying to confirm the Yola house of His Excellency Atiku Abubakar was detained at the gate of the residence. Security personnel detained the individual at Atiku Abubakar’s home, and he was later turned over to the police.
When the police questioned the suspect further, he identified himself as Jubrila Mohammed, 29, and admitted that he was a Boko Haram member from Damboa in Borno State.
The suspect further told the police that he and his companions, who were subsequently detained along with him, planned to assault targets close to Atiku Abubakar as well as other strategic areas in Yola.
“Military officials have received all four accused. We applaud the police for the job they have been doing and are now doing on this specific inquiry. We additionally request that other pertinent security agencies adhere to their mandates.
