2024 Maltina Teacher of The Year Competition: Enter Now for a Chance to Win N10m and be Recognized as the Best!

Nigerian Breweries-Felix Ohiwerei Education Trust Fund has today May 16, 2024 declared open application entries for the 2024 Maltina Teacher of The Year competition.

Winner of 2024 Maltina Teacher of The Year competition  now stand a chance to receive N10m and be recognized as the best in Nigeria.

The Nigerian Breweries-Felix Ohiwerei Education Trust Fund (NB-FOETF) Thursday made an exciting announcement in Lagos regarding the 10th prestigious Maltina Teacher of the Year competition.

The grand prize for the 2024 winner will see a significant increase, with the lucky recipient set to receive a whopping N10 million, compared to the N6.5 million awarded in the 2023 edition.

Sade Morgan, Director of Corporate Affairs at Nigerian Breweries PLC and Board member of NB-FOETF, shared this exciting news. She also revealed that the first runner-up and second runner-up will receive cash awards of N3 million and N2 million respectively, while the state champions will each be rewarded with a cash prize of N1 million.

The announcement was made during the launch of the 10th edition of the competition at the Nigerian Breweries headquarters in Iganmu, Lagos. The event was attended by members of the media, who were given insights into the competition and its significance.

Interested participants can now submit their entries for the 10th edition of the Maltina Teacher of the Year competition starting from May 16th, 2024. The submission period will close on July 19th, 2024.

To apply, individuals are encouraged to obtain the application forms either from the Maltina website, http://www.maltina-nigeria.com/maltina-teacher-of-the-year.html, or from their respective state ministry of education or the Nigerian Union of Teachers office nationwide.

The Maltina Teacher of the Year competition was introduced by Nigerian Breweries-Felix Ohiwerei Education Trust Fund in 2015. It aims to recognize, honor, and reward exceptional teachers across Nigeria. The initiative is supported by the Federal Ministry of Education, as well as other education stakeholders, including the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), the All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPPS), and the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN).

This competition serves as a platform to celebrate the invaluable contributions of teachers to the nation’s educational system and encourages excellence in teaching.
