Croatia successfully defeated Brazil in a thrilling penalty shootout to the disappointment of global fans and therefore qualified to advance to the World Cup semifinals.
After Neymar secured his extra-time goal he relaxed and was dramatically overturned by Pepe’s goal which equals the game and turned it into a penalty shootout.
Bruno Petkovic forced penalties, which made Croatia win 4-2, despite Marquinhos missing the game-winning kick.
Croatia will now have to play either Argentina or the Netherlands in the semifinals.
