How Davies Daibo Jumps Into Lagoon In Lagos

A man who is in his mid-twenties has on Saturday jumped into the Lagoon at the Third Mainland Bridge, Lagos.

Mr Daibo Toju Davies who lives at 17, Sosanya Street, Soluyi, Gbagada, Lagos had reportedly sought for the service of an Uber to the Victoria Island of the State,

According to the Uber driver, on getting to the Third Mainland Bridge he complained of stomach upset and requested that the driver pull over, which the Uber driver obliged.

The Uber driver never knew he was being deceived. However, as soon as he alighted he moved towards the protector of the bridge in pretence of wanting to throw up.

Nevertheless, within seconds of getting there, he dived into the lagoon and never to be fund since 11. am when the tragic incident happened.

In his reaction, Mr Nosa Okunbor, the Public Affairs Officer, Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), said the officials of the agency have swung into action, adding that they are presently making efforts to rescue the victim.

”But I can’t confirm if he would be rescued alive or dead,” he said.

Okunbor reiterated: “As I speak with you, the marine unit of the Lagos central zone has been searching for the victim since 11:30 am, but we have not found the body.

“He should be in his mid-twenties. He ordered a car-hailing service from Gbagada to the Island. He deceived the Uber driver that he had a running stomach after which he jumped into the lagoon.”
