Boko Haram Suspects Storm Two Villages In Katsina, Kill 33

Two villages in Katsina State have on Friday night suffered severe attack when suspected Boko Haram stormed Tsauwa and Dankar villages of the State and killed 33 people in a single night.

The insurgents were said to have entered Tsauwa and Dankar villages of Batsari Local Government Area around 6:30 pm during the hour of evening prayer and burnt several houses, animals and properties worth millions.

In his reaction, CP Sanusi Buba, the Katsina State Police Commissioner confirmed the incident.

He, thereafter, led a joint team of Police, with Operation Puff Adda of the Nigeria Army and newsmen to the two affected villages.

Buba disclosed that out of the thirty-three people killed in the two villages, twenty-one of them were elderly men.

Statistics according to our finding show that about twenty-three persons were killed in Tsauwa village ten persons were killed in Dankar village.

The early hour of Saturday, tears flow freely as every bereaved family took the corpse of their people for burial.

The villagers who lamented that this killing is one too many in Katsina begged  Governor Aminu Bello Masari to come to their aid..
