A gang leader, Bright Iheachi who ordered the killing and burial of the three undergraduates of the University of Port Harcourt, UNIPORT said the trio went away with his four million nairas (N4m).
Speaking during the parade of the five-man gang in Port Harcourt, Bright Iheachi, aka Nelly, on Wednesday, said their initial target was Nelson Nwafor who fled to Ghana with his N4 million.
According to him, they had a deal last year which fetched millions of naira and his share was supposed to be N4 million.
He, however, did not disclose the deal nor the nature of the deal that connected the late undergraduates.
“I was the person that ordered my colleagues to kill the three of them, but it was Nelson that I had wanted them to kill.
But I later changed my mind and decided that the three of them be killed,” Iheachi said.
