IPC Assigns Deltans To Collect PVC.

The Delta State chapter of INEC Press Corps, IPC, on Wednesday urged citizens who registered for Permanent Voter Cards, or PVCs, to turn out in large numbers to pick up their PVCs.
Rev. Monday Udoh Tom, the resident electoral commissioner (REC) of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the State, had previously voiced his displeasure with how the state’s residents and political parties had responded to the collection of PVCs there.
In a statement released by the organization’s public relations officer, Mr. Austin Oyinbode, the chairman of the Independent Electoral Commission, Olorogun Festus Ahon, stated that “for Nigerians to achieve the desired change, every registered voter must go to the local government and wards to collect the PVC.
“A number of million-man marches and campaigns are currently underway. Many people are voicing their opinions about how Nigeria needs to improve. However, if registered voters obtain their PVCs and cast their ballots on election days, this transformation will materialize.
“The INEC has set the presidential and national assembly elections for February 25, 2023, and the gubernatorial and state assembly elections for March 11. Registered voters must obtain their PVCs and cast their ballots in order for Nigerians to elect the correct people to political offices.
The statement further stated that politicians and political party leaders should urge their fans and members to cast their ballots by collecting their PVCs because without doing so, the desired change will just be a mirage.
Ahon emphasized that despite everyone’s busy schedules with business endeavors, “they should all endeavor to create time out of their busy schedules and go to the INEC local government offices and collect their PVCs.” He went on to say that Nigerians needed to “wake up” and see the collection of PVCs as the start of a change in Nigeria.
Additionally, he begged INEC workers at the local government and ward levels to help the citizens in every manner they could, in order for everyone to stress-free collect their PVCs.
