Kano Police Rescue 11-year-old Boy Sold Out to Onitsha

KANO State Police command has rescued an 11-year-old boy named Muhammed Ya’u kidnapped five years ago.

Ya’u was kidnapped  2014 at PRP Quarters Kano and sold for N200,000 at Onitsha in Anambra State.*

DAP Abdullahi Haruna, the image-maker of the Police on Tuesday stated it in a signed statement.
Haruna said: ”Between 05/11/2019 to 08/11/2019, the Command’s Anti-Kidnapping Team of Operation Puff  Adder, carried out rescue operation on Ya’u.
”Muhammed Ya’u (male) 11-years-old was kidnapped in 2014 at PRP Quarters Kano and sold to Onitsha in Anambra State.
 ”Paul Onwe (male) and Mercy Paul (female) kidnapped Muhammed Ya’u and sold him to Ebere Ogbodo (female). Ebere Ogbodo bought Ya’u at the rate of Two Hundred Thousand Naira (N200,000) and renamed ‘Chinedu Ogbodo.
All suspects are currently under investigation.
”The  Police Command thank the people of the state for your support, patience and efforts in fighting crimes in Kano.”
