Nigeria Now Has 8 Confirmed Cases of Coronavirus

The Federal Ministry of Health (FMoH) has confirmed five new cases of the coronavirus in Nigeria.

Dr E. Osagie Ehanire, the minister of health, who stated this on Wednesday disclosed that three from the new positive cases arrived from the United States, while two came in from the United Kingdom.

In a tweet, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) said: ”Two of the three from the US are Nigerians, a mother and child.

The infected child with coronavirus is just 6-week old baby, the youngest coronavirus patient in Nigeria.

”The third is an American national, who crossed the land border, making him the first coronavirus case not arriving by air.  ”The two other cases from the UK are Nigerians.”
