NIMASA Boss Begs Muslims Over Alleged Mosque Demolition

THE Director-General, Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, Dr Dakuku Peterside, has called on the Muslim community in Rivers State to remain calm. He said the Muslim community should seek all avenues to resolve contending issues with the Rivers State Government.

Peterside call is coming against the backdrop of allegations that Governor Nyesom Wike demolished a mosque in Port Harcourt which he denied.

The NIMASA boss, who spoke in a statement by his media team on Sunday maintained that the state was open and free to all Nigerians, regardless of faith, tribe, and background.

He said, “I want to appeal to my Muslim brothers to explore all options for a peaceful resolution. Rivers people are very accommodating, loving and caring. We have several Rivers people who are also Muslims.”
