Buhari Visits Released Train Passengers In Kaduna Hospital

President Muhammadu Buhari met with the 23 survivors of the attack on the train between Abuja and Kaduna on March 28, 2022.
President Muhammadu Buhari met the victims at the hospital affiliated with the Nigerian Defense Academy, according to presidential spokesman Malam Garba Shehu.

Members of the Chief of Defence Staff Action Committee, headed by Maj.-Gen. Usman Abdulkadir (Rtd), who helped secure the captives’ release, were reportedly present in the hospital, according to Shehu.
He listed Brig.-Gen. Abubakar Saad, Dr. Murtala Ahmed Rufai, Ibrahim Abdulllahi, Amb. Ahmed Magaji, and Secretary Prof. Yusuf Usman as additional individuals.
The Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. LEO Irabor, had earlier presented the Committee members and briefed the President, according to the presidential spokesman.
In a statement headlined “President Buhari meets freed Kaduna train passengers, praises Nigerian military for their heroic services,” senior special assistant to the president for media and publicity Garba Shehu revealed this.
Shehu claims that after commissioning Cadets of 69 Regular Course (Army, Navy, and Air Force) of the NDA in Afaka, Kaduna State, the President made an unscheduled trip to the hospital to meet the train assault victims.
