Prof. Adamu Ahmed Appointed as New Vice-Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University

📍 Zaria, Nigeria – Professor Adamu Ahmed has been appointed as the new Vice-Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, succeeding Professor Kabir Bala.

The appointment was confirmed during the 209th (Special) Council meeting held on Wednesday and presided over by Chairman Mahmud Yayale Ahmed.

According to a statement by Malam Auwalu Umar, the university’s Director of Public Affairs, Professor Ahmed’s selection marks a new chapter in the institution’s leadership.

Who is Prof. Adamu Ahmed?

âś… A distinguished lecturer in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning.
âś… Former Director of the Directorate of University Advancement.
âś… Currently serving as the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council of the Federal University of Education, Kano.
