The Federal Government has ordered the closure of highways connecting the Federal Secretariat Complexes of Phase I, II, and III, as well as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, from 2 p.m. on Friday, May 26, until Monday, May 29.
Dr Ngozi Onwudiwe, Permanent Secretary, Service Welfare Office, Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HOCSF), stated this in a circular issued on Friday in Abuja.
Onwudiwe stated that the directive is in accordance with the Presidential Transition Council’s (PTC) security measures for the peaceful conduct of the inauguration parade for President-Elect Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s swearing-in ceremony on May 29.

“As a result, officers and intending visitors to the affected areas will be denied access until Tuesday, May 30, when work will resume in earnest,” according to the memo.
Tinubu and Senator Kashim Shettima will take the oath of office as President and Vice-President, respectively.
