Two individuals were taken into custody by the Adamawa State Police Command together with various bones and a human skull.
In connection with the incident, the command also detained a woman and Dauda Yakubu, a motorcycle operator and suspected future buyer.
In the state’s Fufore Local Government Area’s Garware village, Nodji Kodji and Raji Silver were named as the two suspects.
The two suspects were both from Cholli, a village in the Cameroon Republic, and were taken into custody on October 11, 2022.
Both suspects acknowledged getting the bones and skulls from a graveyard in Cameroon and intending to sell them to Dauda for 5 million CFA Francs.
They said that Dauda declined their offer when they presented him with the skulls, and when they looked for another buyer, they were detained.
