Use Internet More For Academic Advancement, Lemo Urges CBIS Students

Former Ex-Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigerian, CBN, and present Chairman, Federal Roads Maintenance Agency,  Mr Tunde Lemo has charged students to use the internet to advance their academic knowledge.

He said: “ Watching television and surfing the internet for things that would not promote  academic advancement should be discouraged among students.’’

Lemo who spoke as special guest during the Caleb British International School leadership series held in Lagos said: ‘’Students should spend time in their personal development by studying hard and focusing on things that will help their personal academic development.’’

He encouraged them to have clear objectives for the future, noting that aptitude and attitude are things that can take them to the top.

The FERMA boss stressed that students have the world at their feet and should, therefore, aim high and shoot high.

He told students to dream better and bigger, adding that their dreams determine what will be in the future. According to him, leadership traits should be displayed as a youth.

Others, he noted may display negative tendencies, he urged them not be part of the ungodly act.

‘’Others may but l cannot should be your watchword. Fear of God, serious attitude, disposition and respect for their teachers are essential ingredients in growing to be leaders in the future, he said.
