The 270 evacuees from the United Kingdom in Lagos are stranded without government official to receive of address them as there are rumour of the government taking them to Abuja for two weeks isolation.
However, there is no government official insight to receive or address the returnees after over three hours they arrived Lagos.
It was however gathered that the over three hours delay being experienced by UK returnees at the Lagos airport was due to the fumigation of the Air Peace aircraft due to fly them to Abuja.
Ground staff said the airline was not prepared to take the risk as the lives and health of the returnees remain very important.

Many of the evacuees complained of inhuman treatment, hunger and thirst, forcing Air Peace to provide them with over 20 cartons of bottled water to cool their thirst.
