2023: Atiku Promises To Restore The Dam And Improve Trade

Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential candidate, has pledged to resurrect the dead Dadin Kowa Dam in order to provide electricity, irrigation, and agriculture for the entire North Eastern region.
Atiku stated that he was prepared to succeed Tafawa Balewa and that electing him would be like electing a second Balewa to lead the nation while speaking to PDP supporters and party leaders in Gombe State on Monday.
If elected president in 2023, Atiku also pledged to revive memories of the late Nigerian prime minister, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa.
He declared that the socialist-leaning programmes left over from the Balewa administration’s rule in the first republic—such as those in education, rural racial integration, road building, and health—would be reinstated under his administration.
Atiku Abubakar recalled that the Dakin-Kowa Dam was constructed by the previous PDP administration to offer energy to the North East and allow farmers to engage in agriculture.

If you give me the authority, I’ll bring prosperity and jobs to Gombe State. If you choose to elect me, I swear to you that I will make sure there is enough electricity coming from the Dakin-Kowa Dam to power the entire North-East. I will improve farming so that our farmers can cultivate land during both wet and dry seasons.
Don’t you want another Tafawa Balewa in the North-east? Atiku added that most young people were not even born when Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa was as Prime Minister.
The only way to make this happen is to vote PDP, and I’m the one who will give you the chance to elect another Tafawa Balewa.
Aminu Tambuwal, the campaign’s director general and the governor of Sokoto State, stated earlier that Gombe is a commercial hub and that “we shall ensure that wealth is regenerated and bring growth, commerce, and the country as a whole.”
“The nation’s youth will find employment, and farms and the entire nation will be revitalised. This is the objective of Atiku’s government, if elected. I’m sure the people of Gombe are aware of it.
The PDP is prepared to alter the current state of affairs in the nation, according to Udom Emmanuel, Chairman of the Atiku/Okowa Presidential Campaign Council. He continued, “We just want to let the People know that PDP is coming back to make sure that our economy bounces back, to make sure that our naira regain its strength.”
