Bayelsa High Court Launch E-Affidavit Initiative

Bayelsa High Court launches E-Affidavit Initiative in an effort to improve the administration of justice and stop related money leaks.

On behalf of the Chief Registrar, Mr. Julius Nyananyo, Head of Media and Information at Bayelsa Judiciary Headquarters, released a statement on Wednesday.

According to him, the new method became effective on Monday.

“Effective immediately, affidavit payments must be made online through the payment site. This procedure aims to weed out criminals while upholding the credibility and uniformity of court affidavits.

“The E-affidavit system or process is user-friendly, prompt, and secure with easy access to the applicant’s data. Users who want to swear affidavits must sign on to the website, create accounts, and submit applications by providing the necessary information, he added.

According to Nyananyo, approval would be given after the affidavit’s data, including passport photos and online payments, were successfully submitted. The applicant could then print the affidavit.

He consequently recommended members of the public to get in touch with the E-affidavit desk if they needed more information.
