‘The Enemy I Know’ cost Whoping sum of N150m

Asked what it cost her to  produce the world-class movie, Daniel said:
”As the saying goes, palatable food comes with some good cost.  Let me put it in the right perspective. The average cost of shooting a standard film in Nigeria is about N10m. But this one, that’s The Enemy I Know, costs us over N150m.”
Explaining why it cost her more to produce the movie, Daniel said: ”The cost of producing a movie has to do with the quality and the settings.
Some scenes were shot while we were airborne. We had to get private jets. The locations were many including Abuja and Lagos.
The props we used were exotic. There were also the quality costumes, the unique type of camera used for the shooting.
The shooting of the film with multiple quality cameras lasted for over three consecutive weeks. We went to great lengths to produce something really good and special.”

Focus of ‘The Enemy I Know’

According to her, the film focuses on gender issues, about the female child in particular.
Daniel said: ” The movie conveys a relevant message about the issue of gender and inheritance. It touches on the rights of the female child.
It also underlines the importance of preparing one’s will to avoid quarrels over property and assets over inheritance by surviving family members after one’s death.
Asked if she had any challenge of female child inheritance rights in mind while shooting the film, Daniel said No.

Motive behind ‘The Enemy I Know’

Daniel said it wasn’t necessary.  She, however, agreed that you can’t rule out the effects of such experiences on all of us.
Rita Daniel averred that female child inheritance’s right remains a major issue in African societies including Nigeria.
”I believe the movie will take the Nigerian film industry some levels higher in terms of quality and relevance to societal experience,” she said.
Meanwhile, the movie director, Ozoemenam Nwakibe buttressed Rita Daniel’s points, when he said no cost was spared to shot a world-class movie.
”We paid attention to details and tried to convey a realistic scenario. ”But watch out for the suspense”, he urges.
