Joseph Godfrey, 50, was detained by police officers in Bayelsa State for reportedly bringing unwary female job seekers to a hotel and sexually assaulting them.
SP Asinim Butswat, the police spokesman for Bayelsa State, informed journalists on Tuesday that the suspect frequently pretended to be a member of the staff at Government House I Yenagoa and would always entice his victims with the prospect of employment.

The PPRO claims that on October 10, 2022, one of the girls raised the alarm, leading to the suspect’s arrest in the Opolo Community in Yenagoa.
SP Asinim Butswat claimed that while the inquiry is ongoing, police officers are questioning the suspect.
