The All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential rally will take place in Osogbo Township Stadium on Thursday, according to the Osun State Government.
The government remembered that the immediately preceding governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, did not sanction such usage for the Peoples Democratic Party when he was in office in a statement signed by the spokesperson to the governor, Olawale Rasheed, and received on Wednesday.
It explained that the stadium had been given the go-ahead to manage the tight security situation in the state and gave security agencies the go-ahead to provide the rally’s location with the highest level of security.
In order to preserve peace and serenity throughout the state, Senator Ademola Adeleke, the state governor, has ordered the state police command and the Department of State Services to execute state directives.
The state governor also urged Osun natives to maintain peace and quiet while admonishing them against any attempts to instigate unrest, it continued.
The state’s citizens were urged by the authorities to avoid attending the APC’s presidential rally.

“The APC has brought in their death agents.” There is a chance that they will fight and brawl. The statement concluded, “It is crucial for our people to be secure and far from the assembly of bad hands.”
The PDP and Adeleke were allegedly involved in plans by the APC’s state leadership in Osun to kidnap some of the party’s key figures and families. The goal, according to the party, was to shake up the APC ahead of the 2018 elections.
Adeleke and his party members should be aware that no amount of underhanded manoeuvring would secure him the governorship election after he lost his appeal before the tribunal last Friday, according to a statement from the state’s acting APC chairman, Mr Tajudeen Lawal.
Lawal urged the state police command and other security organizations to pay attention to the besieged governor’s “diabolical goal” and come up with a convincing strategy for thwarting the dishonourable and hazy scheme.
Lawal vowed to utilize every legal tool at his disposal to reveal Adeleke and his lieutenants’ plans to inflame the situation in the country.
The quicker Adeleke retraces his step in using certain infamous political hoodlums in this state to kidnap, maim, and attack our members and our families, the better it would be, the statement said in part.
